Our Story
Patricia and Rosalba - Villalpando Sisters
We Immigrated to the US as young women, we started working in the ice cream industry soon after. We now have 40+ years of combined experience.
Realizing there is a gap in the paleta segment, we decided to bring our experience, our culture, and our traditions and build our American dream, showing other women que si se puede.

In 2022, Paletas La Reina is born, proudly owned and operated by the Villalpando sisters, as working mothers, we want to make sure that our business offers flexibility and a safe and supportive environment - 93% of staff are women, including single moms.
Growing up in Mexico exposed to artisanal paletas that were unique in flavor, we learned to appreciate quality and uniqueness. At age 10 Rosalba (Rosie) started making paletas out of our mom’s kitchen. After years of experience in the US ice cream industry, Rosie now brings that same passion to a larger scale through Paletas La Reina.
Our Headquarters in California’s central valley encompasses a production room, cold storage, in-house R&D lab, Quality Assurance lab, shipping docks, and administrative offices.
For Paletas La Reina, making high-quality paletas means using fruit chunks, real milk, authentic ingredients, and real cane sugar. Our high-quality standards stretch to food safety. We’re Proud to be SQF certified within our first year of operation.
The Hispanic market will indulge in a nostalgic experience, while the general market may experience it for the first time.
We're raising the bar, one paleta at a time.
